SCIENTIFIC, CLINICAL and SOCIETAL IMPACT

The malaria antigen examined in my PhD thesis is now in clinical phase-2 testing in Africa. The anti-malaria recombinant antibodies from my laboratory are now patented worldwide. The recombinant anti-D antibodies from my laboratory are used in clinical routine. The antenatal RHD screening developed by my laboratory was implemented nationally in Denmark and enabled in 2010 the first targetted antenatal Rh prophylaxis in the world. My  laboratory has an important role in the international implementation.
